Not able to Export to Excel from Eviews

If user receives the following message, use the instructions below to fix issue.




To enable or disable ActiveX controls in Excel, you need to adjust the settings within the

Trust Center. By default, ActiveX controls are disabled for security reasons. You can change

this by navigating to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > ActiveX

Settings.


Here's a more detailed breakdown:

1. Navigate to Trust Center Settings:

o Open Excel.

o Go to File > Options.

o Click on "Trust Center" on the left-hand side.

o Click the "Trust Center Settings" button.

o Select "ActiveX Settings".


2. Disable Your ActiveX Settings:

o Select "Disable all ActiveX controls."

o Select OK then Save and close Excel


3. Re-enable ActiveX controls:

o Open Excel.

o Go to File > Options.

o Click on "Trust Center" on the left-hand side.

o Click the "Trust Center Settings" button.

o Select "ActiveX Settings".

o Select either "Enable all controls” or “Prompt me” settings.

o Select OK then Save and close Excel


4. Try Exporting again:

o Open Excel

o Export from e-automate or e-views

o Accept any ActiveX prompts
